Is decling gas prices making a difference for you
Since the cost of gas has declined, it now only costs me $35 to fill up my Buick Rendevous, a few months ago it was $70. This is helping our budget. Thank goodness for decling fuel costs. A bright side for me.

Yes and No.
GA and my immediate area has had the highest gas prices in the nation supposedly.
I am thrilled that it finally dropped, however I believe we have all been conditioned to think certain prices are low, when really they are still pretty high.
Even with the drop, I am still conserving because it feels like the only way to stand up to the gas companies LOL.

I might take my sportscar out a bit more now, but it hasn't really made a difference for me. I'm glad to be paying less, but I'll continue to conserve for environmental reasons.

It is making things a little better, but, because we don't know what is going to happen with the economy, we aren't really spending anything extra. We also aren't driving anything more than we have to.

Definately helping us, leaves extra money in the budget. Mainly the extra $$ has gone towards the grocery bill and building up a stock pile, which is nice.

Yes. Gas is about half of what it was earlier. We were challenged at church today to use some of this extra to help the poor, to fill food pantries for the needy, to give to missions, etc.
Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!

The food pantries need help, that's for sure. We're finding it hard to stock our own shelves, but those more needy are finding it even harder. I've heard somewhere that we should get just one thing extra when we're getting our groceries, and give that one thing to someone who needs it more. (Maybe you'll see someone just getting a few things, and you can tell they need more than what they're getting ... hand them the extra thing when they get through checkout. -- You can tell them you got it to give to someone, and that you chose them.)

It is helping the budget, but I'm still combining trips and driving less than I used to.

We are still being careful with our errands etc.
Hubby is 3 miles from work so that helps us a lot.
What we are doing now instead of putting the extra $$ into our gas tanks
is going into the freezer to stock up for winter.

I am enjoying the lower gas prices for now. I do not see them staying low for long, but it sure is nice to pay $40 to fill up DH's truck instead of $70!

No, and yes. No, because DH is out of work, and not filling up every week, and our car gets really good mileage to begin with. So we just don't buy a lot, and now even less.
Yes, with the gas cheaper we can probably swing a short weekend with friends who just happen to have extra tickets to a holiday light show in December, even without money coming in.

Yes and no for me too. Yes it's making a difference in our budget......that monthly gas allowance will go down therefore we can apply more money to our debt. No because I'm still driving like I did before. I'm turning the car off at stoplights when I know I'll be there awhile before it turns green, driving below the speed limit, and some other ways I've learned over the past months.

Gas doesn't suck so much out of our budget as it did, but we are still combining trips and driving less. I don't think we'll ever go back to our random trips out and careless usage of gas.
