book- your broke cause you wanna be
Did anyone see this guy on Tv this morning?
I love his message and I love that he doesn't look like a banker that's out of touch. Plus he's been there and makes that part of the message.
The crazy shirt and earring, hopefully makes him approachable.
I think that's why Dave Ramsey is so popular.
He's been there and is not pretentious.

Did you catch his name? Haven't seen him but it sounds interesting.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I found it on a google search. Apparently, the guy is Larry Winget, and the book is available on amazon.com. he's got several other books listed on amazon as well. I don't know anything about him, but the book reviews are good.

Okay, I was in this funky little old shop in the Old Market of Omaha and they had a section of 'self hurt" books. One of them was entitled--- HOW TO GET INTO DEBT!
I immediately started laughing and thought of the village.McD

I used to watch this guy's show. He is a no excues man and he tells these people stop whining, you are where you are because you put yourself there.
He expects people to not only own their mess but to clean it up as well. Needing a $40,000 car is not an option with this guy.
Who would have "thunk" it??The math never lies, budget in INK!

He used to be on A & E on Saturday mornings. The show hasn't been on in awhile. I guess he ran out of people willing to show how bad of a financial shape they were in and really work to get out of it. He is really good. He doesn't pull any punches. And on the show he pissed off a lot of people in the process of getting them on the right track.

I love him! I caught some bits of his shows online. Certain people need a good swift kick in the butt I believe.
This lady also has that same attitude:
http://www.gailvazoxlade.com/blog/
People want what they want when they want it. It takes a little effort not to give into those whims and sometimes all that is needed is a verbal slap upside the head.
I'm too shy to do it in person, but I can appreciate those who can and do it!

I've always wondered what kind of people go on a show to get help with their personal problems. I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just very shy (irl) and you would have to force me at gun point to put it all *out there*
I would be terribly embarrassed to be on a show and admit I spend $40K on clothes that I haven't even worn. (On credit no less).
The FV is different because you can do it anonymously, but you are still putting it out there!

I used to watch his show, and liked him alot. Then I saw him on a Hyundai commercial and that just left a bad taste in my mouth. I just have a problem with trying to sell someone a brand new car when your career is to teach them to be debt free.
