    Default Kohl's sale + coupon!

    **** Disclaimer: I set aside money for clothes and gifts, and then I pay off cc's as soon as I get the bill. *****

    Kohl's had sent me a 30% coupon for all purchases in the store. That coupon even applied to sale prices.

    Well, today DD #1 (fussy teenager) wanted to shop for a winter coat.

    The coat she chose had a sticker price of $160.
    It was 50% off for Veteran's Day. (So cost = $80).
    Then my 30% coupon took off another $24.

    So, her final cost was $80-$24 = $56 + tax.

    Final cost: around 30% of original price.

    For a winter coat that she loves; which will fit her for several years; and which she'll wear just about every day from Nov-Feb.

    And DH and I found a lot of gifts by combining sales with that coupon in the jewelry department! We got Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, and Mothers' Day gifts!

    One example: a sterling silver pair of earrings for a secret sister gift.
    Original price: $50.
    Veteran's Day sale: $13.
    30% discount took off another $4.
    Final cost: $9.00

    So, the cost was 18% of the original price!

    BTW, I'm aware that a lot of 'original prices' are inflated.

    I have a Kohl's card fro this reason. I get a lot of my kiddos clothes and shoes from there. The 80% off clearance section is great and you can use those coupons on top of the clearance.

    I got one of those 30% off as well. Have not used yet, but I plan on buying some Christmas presents with it.

    Great sales. I love to shop at Khols. My neighbor, who doesn't shop there occasionally gets gift cards from them and gives them to me.

    Ooh. Mine expired yesterday. I hope they send me another one I can use before Christmas. Although, we've got a lot done already,thanks to Kohl's.
