Water savings.
Found a great article at MSNBC about saving water and money. I think the neatest idea is the AQUS system. It reuses the water going down your sink to fill your tank for flushing. Very good idea for those who pay a high price for water.

Good articale, but take it slow.
Gray water systems like AQUS are often outlawed by local code. I urge everyone to check their own code before trying to modify their current set up.

I understand the thinking about gray water but this will be used to flush a toilet so I can't see why they would argue it. You do bring up a valid point though, always check your local codes.

We set up water barrels last spring and we used the water from them all summer to water the gardens. I am sure we saved a lot of water. I would like to install low flow toilets next. Our city offers a rebate for installation of low flow toilets that really subsidize the cost.
