Last furniture Payment....
Cleared the bank!
Yipppeee!!!!
I had 12 months deferred interest on the debt and I was cutting it really close.... the interest would have been due on the 23rd. I mailed the check early last week and I was biting my nails hoping that it would clear before then. Thankfully it did!
There is $1,853.57 gone, but luckily without the 23% interest attached to it!
(I was silly the day I went the furniture store. I was supposed to be buying a dresser for my girls - they didnt have one as theirs broke during the move back from Germany and we had gone a year without a dresser for them, instead using stacked containers for socks and underwear and hanging everything up, but since they share a room and a closet, it was getting to a point where there really was no room for all of their clothing to be hung up in the VERY small closet. Well, I left with a dresser, but also a new desk (I was using an unsturdy table that was really too low and my wrists were starting to hurt) and an entertainment center. Ridiculous, really. I could have gotten a suitable desk much cheaper, as well as the entertainment center, which was not a need at all. Well, you live and you learn. At least I plan on keeping these pieces of furniture for the rest of my life, as they are good, solid pieces that are classic in design. But still.... just a few days later I would have been paying the 23% deferred interest! *Slaps self on the forehead*)

That's AWESOME!! CONGRATULATIONS!!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
