Hello all! BACK and doing well!
Hello everyone,
Sorry I've been away for a while....some of you may remember me....my name is Andrea. Anyway, I've been busy with working full time, school two nights a week, household duties, etc. etc. Plus, I've been sick off and on with a cold since the beginning of October. Today is the first day I've felt half way decent in a while, so at least I feel like I'm on the upswing again. Unfortunately, now DH is sick (not as bad as I had it), so once we are both better, life will be back to normal!
Today DH and I went to Eastern Market which is a farmer's market in Detroit. We found some REALLY great buys on bulk spices (see picture below), bought 10 beautiful pie pumpkins for $7.50 (at Meijer they are twice the price), and also some nice Poinsettas for my sister, sister-in-law, and one for us (we got 3 decent sized ones that are great quality for $14). It was fun bargain hunting, especially since we were going to buy those things anyway. Here are some pic's of the spices we purchased...look how much you get for the price!!!

I guess that is all that is new...oh, I graduate with my associates degree after this semester is over! Whoo hoo! I will have an associates in business which probably won't help me in my current job because right now they are doing early retirement buyouts and layoffs. When I get my bachelors in another three years though, I plan to move on to a (hopefully) better paying job (if I don't lose my job next year). Or a better job where I am already working....I've been there almost 20 years and would like to finish my career out there.
Well, I think I'll finish the herbal tea I am drinking and rest....I'm really not as energetic as I sound right now and the day has zapped my energy. I promise to post more often...talk to you later, and have a good evening!!!

Thank you, Debbie! Where in Michigan do you live? I am from the Downriver area, just south of Detroit. We are close to a LOT of discount places. It really pays to shop around, too!

Oh wow Andrea! It sounds like you've been really busy and I hope your DH gets better soon. We had a bout of sickness around the house here. It sort of circulated and came back a second time as a cold. It looks like you got yourself a killer deal there on spices. I recently went through the whole spice restocking mission and spent about that much, didn't get nearly that much but you did well!
Both you and your DH get better soon and I hope to see more of you on FV.
