Thrifty for our family worked out at $35 per person per week. We're under that, and in keeping with our budget. That's down a lot from years previous. I know we're not spending as little as others, but I'm walking that fine line between what my family "can" and "will" eat.

I honestly spend about $100 more than the thrifty each month, right now, because I haven't been focused on this lately. I know I can get it down to $600 or so pretty easily, without us feeling much of a pinch.

For one, $150 thrifty or $195 moderate. I used to spend about $120, I have upped it to $200 because I felt I would eat at home more often if the food was appealing.
