That's better than nothing at all.

I am a huuuuuge fan of leftovers now that I have control over how they're prepared the second time. I hated leftovers as a kid because they just tasted horribly. However, now that I have control of the food situation it's better! I make some great meals that turn into leftovers and welcome you to the leftovers club.

I hate LO's too! More often than not, I toss them after they turn to science expirements in the fridge.

I cook only for myself, but do a lot of OAMC, so just about every meal I eat is a "leftover."
I actually like the taste better when it's had a chance to blend, so I'm a fan of "day two" food. I am big about putting things right into the freezer, so I don't end up with a lot of cooked food in the fridge.
For some reason, though, if I ever bring leftovers home from a meal out, nine times out of ten I'll leave them in the fridge until I have to dump them. I have gotten to the point where I just don't take them home anymore.DH aka Mad Hen

DH is very good about taking leftovers for lunch. I tend to make a lot of simple one-pot meals, and I make a lot. Between the two of us, we manage to eat up a casserole dish in a few days time.
I have to admit, I am not always in to it. Sometimes he is better about being frugal than I am! I made french onion soup last week, and have to say I really did not like the way it turned out. He liked it so-so, and it sat in the fridge untouched for a few days. But when it came time, I said I was going to throw it out unless he wanted it, and he ate the thing up in two days! I was so proud of him (and thankful I didn't have to eat it myself or throw it away)!

Turning a chicken/roast/hamburger into serial meals aren't really leftovers to me, just good planning. In our house leftovers are considered to be soup, chili, casseroles and so forth. We eat them for lunch the next day or sometimes 2 nights in a row. Since I cook all my meat ahead of time we would be having leftovers every night!
We came from families with very thrifty moms so we eat those leftovers! Good for you to change your ways!

I love leftovers. Many things do taste better the second day, in particular soups and casseroles. The flavors have a chance to come out and blend better. I have one friend who won't eat leftovers, she is an excellent person to go to a restaurant with because we get her dogging bag as well as our own. We rarely use our microwave, so that might be part of it. Reheating in a real pan makes a difference.
Leftovers also mean you get to eat without cooking! For those of us who spend a lot of time cooking, it is nice to have something all ready to eat without having to slice and dice. When we had jobs, leftovers made nice portable meals for lunch, so much nicer to have a tasty casserole or whatever than a plain old sandwich.
I guess I don't understand what it is that people don't like about leftovers. We have some Norwegian relatives that NEVER ate leftovers, just threw them all away. They visited us for 6 weeks, and by the time we were done with them they brought leftovers home from a restaurant when we weren't even with them! (They had had the odd idea that leftovers could kill you. I think it was handed down from someone's grandma from back in the day before refrigerators.) So anyway, good for you for starting to eat leftovers. If it was good the first time, it will be good the second time!
