I've never checked out or heard of this forum. $16K on a purse ? . . .that can be purse snatched anywhere and I don't care where you live? Only if she buys insurance perhaps?? She didn't even post a pic that I could find so I'll have to take her word that it is / was worth it.

Ludicrous. However, if you have a smoker, smoking two packs a day , at the modest price of $3.50 a pack for 10 years(plus several years of health care)that purse almost seems a bargain.Little expenses, little wants, sometimes sink the ship just as surely as those large, extravagant ones.

The fact that a person who makes 16k a year is even thinking of spending 16k on a handbag is just insane.

However, the fact that some people would spend 16k on a handbag is not. Try to think of it this way.

If you make 16k and year and spend 25 dollars on a purse that's the same thing as making 160K and spending 250 dollars.

I don't make $160K a year but I have spent $250 on a purse and it's going on 8 years old and I still get compliments on it - as in it looks good and is used DAILY! I love my purse!

I do agree that I would not spend my annual salary on something that could be "purse snatched" nor would I spend my annual salary on something that could be carjacked . . But I really wanna see a pic of this purse! If it could cook dinner and clean the floors also, I might just consider it! Ha!

    Unreal price........

My current purse is a coach. I found it in a thrift shop and it looked like new, and the price was more than I wanted to spend. I asked the lady what made it so special and she said *because it's a coach*. Well silly me had no clue of it's value, but I did ask her to put it under the counter, and let me call them back, if my hubby said I could buy it.
So I came home, did my research online, almost fell out of chair, called the store back, and said I was on my way back in to get it. I got a $ 300 purse for just under $ 20.00

It's a Hermes bag, I found a link for ebay with a few different Hermes Birkin bags for sale, OH my god, never, never, never in a million years would I even consider a bag for that much, plus also they are kind of "boring".

Just google Hermes Birkin bag and look at images. They really aren't that special , I wouldn't look at it and think it was that expensive and I know my bags.

This one is a Hermes bag and it goes for 12,000

I don't know what the 16,000 one looks like because Hermes doesn't list prices online but I imagine it's about the same. All Hermes bags look similar.
