Second job
Since my second parttime job ended in July, I've been tightening my belt since. Doing ok but not really getting ahead. I've been asked to sit with an elderly lady on Sundays and they pay me $60 for six hours of care. I went last Sunday and absolutely fell in love with 'Miss Helen'. I can attend early church and have plenty of time to get to her house. This is a great opportunity for me to repeinish my EF and put some in regular savings. The best part is I make extra money, the family gets some free time without worry and I'm making a new and dear friend. Life is good.

That's great that you were able to get a job doing elderly care and now you enjoy it! I take care of my grandmother everyday M-F 8:30am - 11:00am and it's fun to be able to bond and here stories from their time.

That is great!! Spending time with the elderly is very relaxing. I love that my FIL is living with us now and I can hear his stories and listen to the 'good old days' plus get the dirt on my hubby when he was a boy!!!...lol

This is the type of "job" that has more than just a monetary reward. Keep your ears and heart open and you will be more than fairly compensated!

I take care of an elderly woman one day a week, but do it as a volunteer. And you are right...... I really love this woman and I am blessed to be able to be with her. Glad it's working out for you.
