Looks good.
I always set the kids up in front of the TV and then cut their hair. It reduces the amount of movement.
Hope that helps.

You did a great job! You should see some of the disasters I had.....
Step 1: Catch 'em.
Step 2: Distract 'em.
Step 3: Cut like crazy!
I used to do Hubby's hair first and Hubby would sing and whistle and talk about what a good time he was having. Son would be watching. Then I asked Son if he wanted a haircut. I sat him up on a stool, gave him a mirror and started. He tried to sing and whistle, but couldn't exactly do it. Then he cried. Then he shook his head, and my scissors went wild.
Well, they say the only diff between a good haircut and a bad haircut is two weeks........Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.

Suggestions.
The ONLY time my kids would get a lollipop was during a haircut.
Keep a cup of water around to get the hair off the lollipop
TV works too.
I'd bring my kids for a real haircut i.e. someone who actually knows what they are doing and then cut following what was done every 3 or 4 weeks just cutting a little bit. It is much harder to when you wait 8 weeks and then you are creating the haircut.

Cutting my boys hair is super easy, since I just use the clippers and clip away. They think it is fun, so I've never had any problems.
I think you did a great job, she looks fantastic!

Wow, you did a good job. It's so even. I remember Mum trimming my hair when I was younger and it being uneven.

Your DD is as cute as a button! Good job! My eldest son use to scream and whine when I tried to clip his hair as a toddler. I started clipping his hair after the terrible fit he threw at the barber shop, it didn't go well and we had to pay the higher price due to his age (fussing).
TV is a good distraction, also keeping it as quick as possible so it's not a long ordeal.

I can't give tips--I just have girls, and my 3 yo has never had a haircut, and my 5 yo had bangs for a while (which I cut), but I've let them grow out, and other than the bangs she's only had her hair cut once (just a trim a the bottom edge).

I don't do the hair cutting in my family!! Well, I shouldn't say that, every summer I shave dh, but that's just clippers and away we go!!
For everyone else, I have my sister the licensed stylist come over and do it, she cuts my hair, dd-11, ds-3, dh (during the winter months), and soon she will cut dd-1 (well maybe, she is pretty bald looking for being 18 months old..LOL).
I think you did great and what a cute little girl you have!!!
