Alternative to Microsoft Office.
Much to my dismay, my microsoft office trial expired today. I'm in mid season of sports, I use my spreadsheets and word ALL the time.
There was NO way I was going spend money to by it. It's a pricey program.
I found something that can read my existing files, that is an open source, and free.
openoffice.org
I don't know how easy it'll be to share them, still learning, but for use at home, this is fine. I'll be sharing the software with lots of people!

I actually have MS Office Business 2000, and have dumped it for openoffice. Love the program!

I had to get the evil Microsoft for dd and ds since that is what the school uses. Since we live 20 miles from the school it just didn't work for them to be there early and hope they could get computer time.
