    Default Guess what I got???

    A treadmill!!!

What does that have to do with frugal living?

Total cost: gas to pick it up. It was a freecycle find. They told us the motor worked fine, but the digital stuff didn't.

Ok fine, we have freezing rain, I can't walk outside, if it's not that slippery, it's -40 out so not smart to walk. I don't have time to get to a gym with 4 kids, home business. So I figured, if I can at least walk on the treadmill once a day, then I'm getting my fitness time in.

We bring it home, and the people didn't realize that only the motor is powered by the plug in, that the digital display required batteries!!

So it works 100%. It cost me nothing, the batteries are recycled from dh work. They use a digital, so they go through lots of batteries, but they aren't completely dead, dh bring them home for the remote controls, and other low users.

So I walked 1 mile today. My goal is to work up to 3 miles. The kids are enjoying it. DD11 is running on it, dd9 thinks is a hoot to see how fast she can run. DD5 likes it at a slow pace and she'll walk for 30 minutes!! We have the safety clipped on, so if they go to far back the unit shuts off. DS14, thinks he's too cool.

Dh can't use it, cause the ceiling is too low..lol. He can move it if he wants to use it elsewhere in the basement.

BUt we're moving!!! We are well on our way to the recommended 60 minutes a day between the treadmill and Wii Fit. So I think my extra pounds will start coming off easier now too.

That is so awesome! I would love to have a treadmill, but we just don't have the room for one!

That is such a great freecycle find! I'll bet those extra pounds just start falling off now!

It doesn't suck for them too bad, as they were emptying the inlaws house to get the house ready for sale, so they weren't keen on keeping a bunch of stuff. But we kinda chuckled that it works just fine.
