My latest discovery.
My girls and I have recently become huge fans of our library. We're very excited that we will have a brand new library next summer. The girls are on the library site all the time reserving books they want.
I have reserved some books, and didn't even think to look at movies. So I will be doing some of that now too, but need to think of names of movies I want to watch..lol
Then when I went in last week to pick up our weekly dose of reserved items, I noticed the library lends out Wii GAMES! So, when I got home, I started searching and reserving. For some it's a short wait for others it's a LONG wait, but it's all for my $12/yearly membership. We get free entertainment
I'm ok with that.

I don't know if it's so much luck, as much as it is opening my eyes and looking. i'm sure I'll find more things yet, to take the stress off the money monster and do it for free.

Libraries are one of those resources that if we do use them we'll lose them. Good for you!

It's awesome that your library loans our video games!! I don't believe any of our local libraries do this, but I will check!!

I love libraries. The one we frequent has kids storytime and themed events sometimes. There are adult things too I hope to have time for someday.

I love our library. I donate things to them as well to help their budget. If you are a frequent user, think about donating newer but no longer used media items instead of selling them. Sure selling them would help your bottom line, but so does using the library. Also when garage saleing keep your library in mind for media items. It gives you a great feeling to help out your local library.

i too donate to my library....I give books to them and I am usually late, so I have to pay a late fee...they know me there and laugh when I say my books are late....I like to say I am helping to support my library when I pay my late fees....although I will not be so late to get arrested!!!!!!

I adore our library. I don't always find the books I am looking for, but I just request it from another library in the area, and they deliver it to my library at no charge. They also loan Wii, Playstation 2, and Xbox games...2 weeks at a time, 1 week on DVD's & VHS, and 3 weeks for books.

You have to pay a fee to use the library? Is that a Canada thing or is it common in parts of the US as well? Here in Ohio it is free taxpayer sponsored. Ours lends videos, dvd's, cd's, games
