Anybody else love Fred Meyer Rewards?
Just went to Fred Meyer (Kroger) for a few groceries. Had my rewards certificates with me (we got $14 free and other ones this round).
I got:
* 2 gallons milk 3.50 each
* 2 packs hot dogs 1.25 each
* 3 - 12 packs of cheese slices (these will last a long time) 1.25 each
Total: $13.25. (Not bad deals for here
)
So, I handed the cashier $13 of rewards certificates and paid my whopping 25 cents for my groceries!
I just love the rewards program!!
(Side note: those points were earned from things we needed to buy anyway...so was "free" food; that's where we get our groceries and sometimes toiletries if there's a deal).Kace - married to Dh 12 years

Yup.....we pretty much only shop at FM. Dh is employed there, and as long as we keep getting a check, I'm going to support the company. I did most of my Christmas shopping there and just cashed in almost 40.00 in rewards yesterday! They also have a good employee discount, great insurance and promote from within. Dh actually took a pay cut when he went there 10 years ago, but it was a great career move for him.

My Dh used to work for Freddie's, too!
He actually still misses it...though he likes accounting now. I miss the discount!!
Yeah, we have the 10/gallon discount...the store that has the gas station isn't anywhere we drive, so we don't usually get it... We go to Costco for gas (on the way to school).
WOW!! MEGA rewards points!! Woot!!

I used to shop a good bit at Freddies, when I managed the optical inside of one. I shop mainly at Safeway now. We get a small grocery voucher from my husbands tribe that we can only use at Safeway and they have gas discounts, 10c per gallon off for every $100 spent there. I have to be careful what I buy there, but I would at Freddies too.
I also shop at Walmart some, although I hate the place. I read a tip here about getting free large containers from bakery depts and got 2 yesterday so soon I can buy beans and rice at Costco. I use tons and would love to buy bulk.

Does anyone use a BP credit card? For first month you get 10% on all gas purchases. Then after that its 5%. You can get it in a check or gas card. Get it in the check and use card to make more purchases to get more free gas.

I rarely shop at Fred Meyers although I do have their card. How does the reward program work?

Maryea~
I work at Fred's and can tell you how the program works.... For evey dollar you spend on qualifying purchases (everything except gas, money orders, lotto, gift cards, fees, etc.) you get one point. The Reward Cycle is 13 weeks and if you spend $500 or more in the 13 week cycle, you get 1% of your purchases back. So if you earn 550 points, you get $5.50 back, 1200 points is $12. You also get 4 various coupons (i.e. $3 off produce, 40% off two items of clothing, etc.) There are also the Gas Rewards- for every $100 you spend in a month, you get 10 cents off a gallon of gas for one fill up.
HTH!

I shop at Freddies and I love it. I don't buy everything there since we have several discount grocery stores here too. But I WILL NOT use the self check out. That's just costing someone a job.
