I, too, have seen all the rumors. Hope it's not true.

We have a new Walgreens being built right across the street from a CVS. Maybe they both will stop with the rebates and coupons. Either way, I shop elsewhere for savings most of the time. Cvs has good milk prices, though.

I used to love Walgreens, especially since they have a drive through which is nice when you have a sick child... but they are building a lot of new stores and doing so with a lot of illegal labor and no local hiring. I think major companies who routinely use illegal labor ooze greed and take advantage of people who are in desperate situations. Furthermore, my dad's union newsletter slated them as union busters who build substandard facilities. I would rather shop at Wal-mart and that's saying a lot for me.

Wow, I would certainly hate to see this go, I have done some serious deals with this program.

That would totally suck, since I just started using it this month. I go to Walgreens by my work all the time.

I did some digging on a popular coupon site, and it looks like they may be replacing the ESR program with a program similar to the one at CVS. Of course, that is just rumor at this point. I'll be waiting to hear more on this, for sure! I really hope they do something like CVS does, otherwise their prices are too high to even bother shopping there.
