One thing leads to another
Well after getting rid of my beads I went into my sewing room and threw out about 100 bottles of paint and completely emptied a huge tote.
Next I moved some of my dds stuff she is storing here for when she can move into her new apartment(small kitchen items etc) that were taking up space on my stockpile shelves into the tote.
Finally, I did some moving of food from my stockpile to better locations on my shelves to better utilize my space for food.
What else can I toss I wonder????
I have an elderly lady who takes all my stuff and sales it in garage sales so she can afford her medicines. She did keep the 27 inch color tv I sent her though as she just had a small black and white one.
I have a 3 drawer mirrored dresser for her, a head board and some knicky knack stuff so far and I will call her this weekend so my dh can help with the loading, she has a truck. The math never lies, budget in INK!
Amount of Free items 2012 $391.33

Debt #2 12/31/12 CC $901.88
Debt #3 12/31/12 $3648.83
Madness, mayhem chaos...my work here is done!

You know that book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie"? We could start a story about you "If You Get Cricketlegs to Throw One Thing Out" and it could be one thing leading to another! Just don't start throwing out all of your furniture!

I agree with SpiritDeer.
Not getting rid of my beads. Although I do have an elder friend who scrapbooks with a group and I have a box 'o stuff to go to them.... And I know people who'll never get rid of a single scrapbook item.
Good for you, even if *I* couldn't do it!

Good for you and thank you for the inspiration to unload a little more. It's good for me to realize, I'm not the only one who's getting rid of stuff. Sometimes, I have to remind myself, it's just stuff...let it go!!!!

It's a bonus to be able to help someone else out in the process of purging stuff. Way to go!

LOL - My kids love that book! I also like "If You Give a Moose a Muffin". Hah!
Cricketlegs - that's wonderful that you help your friend out like that...proof that you can be frugal and still generous to others.
I might go declutter now, myself. (Think the kids would mind if I decluttered their toys for them?!)Last edited by lukesmama; 02-25-2009 at 09:24 PM.
