    Default Frugal family - Funny kid story

    We sometime have family Drive thru night at home.

    Like Mc Donald's night - chicken strips and fries with choice on dipping sauces or KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) night -fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy.

    I post our weekly menu on the fridge and a few days ago it said Fried Chicken. The chicken didn't thaw as fast as it should so I baked it the oven with out the breading and I served it with fresh fruit,carrot sticks and spinach salad.

    We sat down to dinner and Daughter starts whining "I wanted to eat KFC" both Hubby and I thought she meant go to KFC- she has only been twice in her 8 years. Later we figured out she meant she was looking forward to what the menu said, Fried Chicken and was hoping for mashed potatoes and gravy. LOL

    What is also funny is that at our house Fried Chicken is not actually fried. I generally take off the skin, bread the chicken with bread crumbs, and bake it.
