Smile Join me in my "Grocery Bill Happy Dance"

My Feb. Grocery total (food and consumable household supplies as well as Health and beauty aid not including prescription meds. )

Was 50% lower than it was last year at this time. It was also about 20% less than last month. We still had good meals on the table, no one complained of a lack of anything, like "snackage", and I was still able to stock good deals in the freezer/pantry. Both are now quite full.

    I'm doing the happy dance!

I hope I can keep this up, The lower grocery bills not the dancing. LOL

Oh I'm going to keep dancing for a while.

I just figured out how much we spent on eating out. Our month average this year so far is $53 dollars a month. Last years average was $104 a month. So another almost 50% decrease! And we switched our eating out focus this year to family meals at the restaurant not at the quick run thru drive thru so it is more of a look forward to event.

Yay!!! Great job. I am joining in because I cut my grocery, h&b and household from $655 to $450 this month. I really think stockpiling and cooking from scratch and not eating out has helped tremendously. I did go by McDonalds twice for the kids this month. Probably spent $20 all together.

Congratulations to the grocery winners!!! It CAN be done, even though it's not always easy. Stockpiling and cooking from scratch - great ideas - plus purchasing ingredients (for making a large variety of foods), rather than highly-processed foods, is also a good place to focus. So far (2 adults) I've spent $274.15 of my budgeted $400 for the YEAR-to-date.
