Default He had the nerve to laugh at me!

I realized that we hadn't yet paid ds school fees. Not a big expense, $185. I just totally forgot. And I couldn't access them online.

So I called the school. And when going through it all, there is charge for 2 camps. $45 each. However at the first camp, ds got some sawdust or something in his eye and he spent his time there flushing his eye, and then they called me to pick him up. So I asked if I'd be charged for that.

The program head was LAUGHING AT ME! He said no one has asked before. I told him, with 4 kids, we budget to the penny, so I ask. Either we have to pay or we don't, we won't dispute, but I do ask what their call is on that. He was still laughing. He said he had no problem with deducting that since we are on a budget, he just had never been asked before. I told him I appreciate it.

    BUT HE LAUGHED AT ME!

And the comment about the budget. I just wanted to balance my checkbook and if they weren't charging me I wasn't paying.

    Oh well, saved $45 today.

Good for you for saving $45. Just think of the other things that money could be used for.

Let him laugh at you...you'll have the final laugh, and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank with your $45!

Some people just don't realize how much $45 dollars is! Just think of what kind of stuff that could get you at the dollar store...

Bet his wife, who probably handles the budget wouldn't have laughed. Kudos on the $45 savings!

ROFL .... let him laugh with his wife to night. I can see her smacking him upside the head.

The thing that gets me is that he made the assumption we couldn't pay it, so he'd write it off. Next thing I'll be getting the Christmas food hamper because he tells the school we're destitute.

    On a Budget ≠ poverty

Oh well. I have my $45 in my bank account. Makes up partially for the $80 I had to pay for the clock ds broke

It was rude for him to laugh at you.
I personally would have asked too.

That was rude of him. You got your money and if they do give you a basket then I would be laughing all the while taking it.

Glad to hear that you were able to save 45.00. I think his response was very rude.
