So I tried making my own dinner rolls.
I think I added baking soda instead of powder. They are rock hard.
I guess I shall make bread crumbs out of them

Don't be discouraged.
Baking is a great skill to have and like all skills take awhile to master. homebaked buns are wonderful worth the effort and will save you so much money. Please post when you try again, OK Hon?

Instead of bread crumbs, making a simple bread pudding might be a good idea as the sugar and spices might diquise and odd flavor from the baking soda.
