Smile I got invited to a "Frugal Party"!

How funny is this! I think it states the way the world is going!

My neighbor came up to me yesterday and invited me to a party that one of her co-workers is throwing. They are having a "frugal party", and the plan is that they are going to share tips and tricks about being frugal.

We have each been instructed to bring a dish to pass that can be made for under $5, and if anyone would like to share another project, they are welcome to bring supplies and give their tips.

I know one woman is doing HM laundry detergent, and a couple of others are doing other HM cleaning products they make and use.

So, my neighbor invited me thinking that I would have TONS of tips to share with her co-workers. She didn't have all the details yet, but I'm thinking I might go. I don't like going to parties when I don't know too many people, but I thought this could be alot of fun and maybe very informative!

Has anyone else heard of this? Or is this something totally new?

WOW! Sounds like fun. I'd take this website along to share. You'd be surprised how many folks don't know about but enjoy it once they do.

Thats a new one on me! Go for it! Must be like those ugly sweater parties that everyone was throwing ( is it just me, but I always liked those things). This is something totally new. Watch it take off! Once the yuppies ( sorry yuppies LOL) grab onto something, then they all do it. ( sorta like the huge houses and mortgages LOL)

Hi thefrug! I absolutely love themed parties like that too! But I never heard of an "ugly sweater" party. Can you fill me in, you caught my curiosity, and now I'm dying to know
