Things to do for your fridge/freezer when the power goes out
Here is a link to this FDA page. I was interested as there was a thing or two here that were new to me. We lose power every winter so it's something that I try and plan for. btw, the title of this should be things you do for your FOOD when the power goes out...sorry!

I haven't read the article yet, but, with spring storms coming, fill up empty freezer space with frozen gal & half gal milk/juice jugs. If rinsed completely, you could drink it if need be. I also use those jugs in my 5 gal Igloo container to keep drinks cold. They also can be put in a cooler.
