I've been trying to figure out how much it would cost me to get bulk bouillon vs buying it in the box, so while I was at the store today I decided to take a look. I went to get my PDA out of my purse to write the prices down, but lo and behold my PDA was out of battery juice.

Doh!

I almost walked away when I realized that I had a camera with me! I broke out my cell phone and proceeded to take pictures of the prices on everything from white sugar to beef stock to garlic salt!

I stood there for a good two minutes, snapping pictures of both the price per 100g and the name of the item. By the time I was done, I didn't care if anyone had looked at me all funny because of what I was doing. At least now I have a good way to updating my price book for spices.

...people must have thought boy this lady must really love food if she has to carry pictures of it around with her wherever she goes....

LOL...I had to laugh just reading the title of this post! But good for you! And trust me it's so much easier to take a picture than to try and write everything down! Now you know how much everything costs!! Good job!!

I do that all the time.....lol. i go looking thru the pics and think to myself why do i have a pic of a roll of fence and the price??....lol then i remember i was comparing prices....lol

I was shopping the other day in one of the grocery stores and they had a big sign up saying "No Cameras Allowed". I bet they saw you and made a "policy"!

wow...that's kinda bizarre....i can see not wanting one at the 'local community playhouse'... but the grocery ? have they had a problem with the bananas running off to be 'super-models' or something.....

Haha! If you were at the Westwinds Real Canadian Superstore, then they might just have done that very thing.

Nope, it was the north side Superstore in Regina. Totally weirded me out. I was really shaking my head over that one. I couldn't help wondering why they'd be worried about cameras! Now I know!!!
