We've done that too Sherry, all the kids love magnets....we used to play tic tac toe on the fridge with the juice lids, we just marked the x's and o's on with a permanent marker!
All the kids used the alphabet I made up for them and they would arrange them on the fridge....it seemed like alot more fun than just reciting the alphabet!!

Frozen Juice Lids
I tried searching for this subject, but nothing came up.
I recently started finding more uses for frozen juice lids. They're sturdy and made of metal and I always hated throwing them out.
This week I found a few uses for them. Two of them are actually being used as drain plugs when I do the dishes and I turned another into a reflector. I figure I'll also be able to put magnets on the back of them and photos on the front and put those on the refrigerator..
But what are some other uses for these things? I figure I'll have hundreds of them over the next few years and I'm going to try to not throw any of them away.

Story of my life. In 2007 we had 78000 worth of debt, and we climbed out under it, on top of paying for a surgery with cash, bought a house, had a foundation shift and $11000 in repairs later we are good to go.. then I hear the words "I'm pregnant!"

I used them a lot for my son when he was a toddler. I would glue fabric scraps or paper to them and we would make a big 'Memory' game. They were used for sorting, too. I cut holes in the tops of small plastic containers, (Old baby wipes boxes, margarine tubs and such) and he'd have fun sorting them. I would take a big cardboard box and cut slots all over it and he'd spend lots of time slipping them through the holes like coins in a machine.
You can glue carpet scraps to the backs and use under furniture legs to protect floors or help move heavy pieces.

Tightwad gazette - make "medals" of of them with construnction paper and now have 1st, 2nd, etc place medals.
Use in costumes, make a "chain-mail" costume for a young knight in training.
Hang in garden as a bird reflector to help discourage birds from eating my food (really best with old CD's, but thos would work too)
We put most of ours in the recylcing bin thou.Last edited by Denvergirlie; 04-06-2009 at 08:30 AM.

I saw an idea once using them to make a vest for a knight's costume.
