Where do you buy/order your checks from?
I desperately need to order checks today. My bank went up on their prices recently so I know there are better deals. Where do you guys order your checks from?

I have used Artistic Checks, Current, Image, and Deluxe. Many of them have 'first time' or mutiple box deals and it is worth shopping around to find the best price for what you want. I'm not loyal to any one brand. I like to use carbon checks so I can keep track of what I write since I'm too lazy to use the register.

Ditto contrary house wife. Even my credit union went up but this time they were cheaper than the newspaper ad ones.

I always order my checks through my bank.
If you choose to order checks through anyplace other than your bank, please please please be doubly sure to verify the accuracy of your routing number, account number etc. If for some reason, any of those numbers are wrong, your bank is not required to stand behind you and help you sort through any of the mess or potential problems. So just check your accuracy.McD

My bank gave me free checks. But my bank - WAMU - is no more. They were taken over by Chase.
I only write a couple of checks a month. I pay all my bills online and use my debit card for groceries, gas, etc.Mary

When I worked at the bank, I got free checks, but I preferred to keep my accounts elsewhere from where I worked and I pay full price for my checks.
I think when I last paid for checks it was 16$ for duplicates.McD

Thanks for the input. I usually don't go through checks this fast, but with Ava in school now and DH getting involved in KC activities I am blowing through them. I could use cash for this stuff, but a check gives me proof I paid it. More for my peace of mind because I've got a serious case of mommy-brain some times.

I get mine free through the bank with direct deposit.

I actually ordered mine through walmart.com...they had the best price. My bank went up to $18 for one box of plain checks. I only use about 5 checks a month, so at least they last me a long time.

The last set that I ordered was from Checks Unlimited I think. Fair prices and I was set for a few years on the 3-4 boxes that they had a deal for.

I went with Walmart for the one box I needed. Next month I'll set aside some money and do a multi-box deal from another vendor with address labels and all.

We always get our checks through our bank. Last time I ordered, I found they were paying for two boxes a year of basic checks with duplicates. It never hurts to ask.
