Unfrugal temptation
What is an unfrugal temptation that you resisted recently?
Mine - I resisted the vending machine candy bar (one of my unfrugal weaknesses!) I was searching for the $ bill and then went
- and pulled out my baggie full of generic brand value size pretzels..and am munching to my hearts content!
Saved money
AND calories! Whoo hoo...

I walked right past the magazine rack in Walmart! Even though they had all the new issues out!

When ds said, "let's go to McDonald's!" as we were driving by, I told him "no, let's go home and I'll make you lunch!"

Saturday I went to the thrift store & didn't buy anything! Sure there were a few items that caught my eye, but I resisted even the .25 goodies.

Went to WalMart (it was between FedEx and home so no extra gas was used) and didn't buy anything. Just priced some items I am thinking about buying to compare to other stores and online. I wanted a pair of shorts but didn't find any that I liked.
All the while as I pushed my basket through the store I asked myself "Do you need it or do you want it?". I I walked out empty handed.
I went to a day lily farm yesterday with a friend. I COULD have spent a fortune, but my MIL has lots of varieties and I can go dig some up for free!Mary
I won 2nd place! Made it to the top 4 finalists for the ultimate biker makeover!

I was out shopping yesterday(with a list) and I have a thing for shoes. I've wanted these silver sandles...like the last two months. I even put them in my cart and took them out because I have plenty of shoes that are just as cute. I just said no.

$350 worth of china teacups, saucers, and dessert plates. I fell in love with them at first sight, but I recently inherited DH's grandmother's china, and decided to be happy with that, even though it's not nearly as nice. I still visit my dream set online everyday *sigh*

I really wanted to go out for ice cream sundaes Sat night. Fought it off. Sunday I bought ice cream with a coupon (doubled) for less than the cost of one sundae. Monday evening, had a bowl after the kids were tucked in and surfed the net in peace. AHHH

I passed by DT this morning and decided instead of getting paper towels, we will use our white cotton kitchen towels. I also skipped McD's.

I allow myself one "eat out" day during the work week as my treat - always off a dollar or value menu, but still its nice! Well today was going to be my "eat out" day, and I resisted! I brought one of my Healthy Choice ($1 on sale!) meals from home instead and got water from our machine here at work!! whoo hoo!! Healthier and cheaper! And I am eating my pretzels again, so no vending machine! Go me!! Haha..

It's always tempting to just drive thru for dinner, but 99% of the time I will cook something.
