I bought the first one when it was published in 1993, and #2 and #3 when they were published. I consider them part of my frugal resource materials and read through them at least once a year. I have lots of post-it-notes marking all kinds of things in them.

It's good to remember these books came out before most of us had computers and Internet access. Many of the hints were contributed by readers of Amy Dacyczyn's then publication, The Tightwad Gazette and some of those hints are a little out-of-date, but they all give you inspiration to be thrifty, which is the best part of the books, in my opinion.

I just collected enough bread heels to make Bread-Crumb Cookies (page 130, Book #1).

I've maintained a Price Book (pg. 31-32 Book #1) for most of the past 16-years, and will take it with me today when I go grocery shopping.

I'm always inspired by THREE WAYS TO SAVE (page 39, book #1):

    1. Buy it cheaper
    2. Make it last longer
    3. Use it less

Hope you enjoy the books for many years to come!

I borrowed the Complete book with all three volumes in it from the library, I'm trying to finish it up! It's a wonderful book! That book is one I'm on the look out for at garage sales and thrift stores. Because it's one that I would like to own!

Good for you, I'm sure it will be very useful to you. I don't have my own copy, so I just borrow it from the library when I need inspiration.
