probably not the right place...but I thought I would get a faster answer here...
I have a bag full of stale tortilla chips and don't know how to use them...I thought about grinding them to make bread crumbs but I'm well stocked in that department...do you have any other suggestions? I would really appreciate it!
Thanks

maybe you could pop them in the oven for a few minutes and then crush them for a bed of a taco salad. Just a thought.

If they are not so old the oil in them has gone rancid, then you can revive them in a warm oven. I would set it to about 300F and lay them out on a flat cookie sheet and bake them for... oh... maybe 15 minutes. Bag them tight after they have cooled.
The original Frito Enchilada Pie was a layered casserole that used corn chips, chili, grated cheese, and canned tomato soup in layers. I'm sure you could do something like that.Use it up, Wear it out,

We used to eat taco meatloaf a lot. Crushed tortilla chips, taco seasoning, eggs and either ground turkey or beef. Turkey almost works better because it soaks up the flavors more. After it is cooked we tapped it with salsa and sour cream

Put shredded chicken, salsa, and cheese over them and bake in the oven for a few mintutes. As long as they still taste good it won't matter if they are crispy or come out soft.
