Smile Kudos to my 12 year old for his frugal solution

I'm so proud of my 12 year old son's frugal solution.

His younger sister was having trouble with the shampoo cap. we discovered this when half of a new family sized bottle was gone and dripping down the side of the tub the same day we opened it.

So I thought a pump would be a solution. I searched stores high and low looking for something that would work. Son then suggested I take one of the half empty pump lotion bottles we had at home and combine it with another half empty pump of the same lotion. Thus leaving one empty pump lotion bottle. Total cost $0

It worked beautifully. The label came right off so the pump is plain and simply pretty. The lotion pump also administrators less in each pump so the children (and me) are not over using the shampoo.

I'm so proud of my frugal son.

    Smile

You guys have made Son's day!

He is beaming smile form ear to ear from your compliments to him.

After reading all your comments he not only smiled but said "that is cool, very cool" High praise from a preteen.

Did I mention I'm proud of him and his frugal creativity?

What a great idea! I have small children and one in particular prefers to use body wash instead of a bar of soap, I'll do this for her.

Thanks to your son for saving me time and money.

    Alllright!

You know... I think I'm going to have to find an old lotion bottle, that sounds like a perfect solution for my 10yr old - who thinks she's a chemist...
