Hi guys. I wondered when dining out or in a hotel do you guys "stash" little extras? Like a handful of ketchups at McDonalds, toilet paper, soaps, shampoos, from hotels?
I wondered an overall feeling of doing these things.

I am a Christian, so I don't take the bottles of shampoo home with me. But, then again, I don't think I could say anything to someone who does. Why not? Well...they are there for those staying in the room, what difference would it make if you took it home? I don't know, so I feel better by not taking that stuff. Of course, this doesn't apply to towels, that is definitely stealing.

Only if its' something I know they cannot use for the next guest/customer. Like an opened bottle of shampoo, etc. I always feel it's wrong for me to be frugal at someone else's expense..but that JMHO.

I agree with Noodlie. Im a Christian too. I know if I leave an unopened bottle of shampoo they will reuse it. But if its opened they have to by federal health standards dispose of it, so I take it with me. I only save the things from McDonalds that came in my bag. I think if I took extra for the purpose of stocking piling at home, Id feel guilty. Just my thoughts

No., I would not just take stuff from a place....but in the instance such as a hotel room that I had PAID for, the opened bottles of shampoo and soap, that is included in the price of the room. That I would take with me, but towels, etc....NO!!! That is stealing, and that is a no no with me!!

If it was open bottle of shampoo and soap from a hotel, then yes I take it. I figure they just throw it out anyway. If it is something that could be used by someone else, then I leave it.
BTW-I had a couple of roommates in college that would ummm "borrow" toilet paper from buildings on campus. They usually only did it if they had a super busy week and wouldn't be able to make it to the store to buy some. I think I would have made a special trip to the store before I used that cardboard like toilet paper for a whole week. lOL
