Hulu
I made a new (to me) discovery!!! hulu.com - I love it. I may actually be able to cancel my cable with this thing
I just watched a full episode of Eureka on it. I don't get syfy anymore since we downgraded our cable a year ago, and I haven't been able to watch the show. hulu has all the full episodes, it's awesome! They have what seems like everything... I just wanted to share for those (like me) who might not have known.

I am going to be getting rid of my cable at the end of the month and will be watching many of my shows on there. I also watch drop dead diva and can watch that on the lifetime website.

Hulu is fabulous! We don't get any TV reception so Hulu. vcr tapes, dvd's and radio are it for us. Don't miss TV at all. Love that we don't have to worry about sex, violence ect. for our family since we pick the shows. We now sit around the computer screen instead of the boob tube. Kind of fun actually. You will not see your local news though, but that's okay with me. In fact I feel far less stressed since I do not hear the news on a daily basis.

we've been using Hulu for over a year. They have expanded so much since then. My kids, especially the teens, hardly use the tv because they can watch what they want later at their convenience.

We've been using Hulu for a couple of years now. It's actually quite nice, especially when I'm on the road and end up with limited channel options for evening entertainment. For me, Hulu and Netflix instant access are better options. I've been trying to convince K to drop cable since 90% of our shows are on Hulu.
One thing to note, however, Canadians cannot use Hulu because of CRTC regulations (I'd bet it's the Canadian content thing)Last edited by Linus; 08-10-2009 at 08:53 AM.

I love Hulu
I pay 48.00 a month for high-speed internet (and phone service) and that gets me all the shows I like to see. I will NEVER pay for cable again. Plus I get to watch what I want, on MY time, which works perfectly for me.

The new episodes of Eureka at put up about 1 week after they air on tv. Currently new ones are airing on TV so there should be new ones popping up every week.
We use Hulu a lot. Hubby catches up on series he missed or had never seen.
There are some shoes we can't find I don't think any TLC shows, Discover channel, or Discovery Kids, and PBS doesn't have any shows it seems. Hulu sends you to Nick Jr site to watch that station's shows , I don't think you can watch full episodes there. Lot of things my children watch aren't on Hulu. They also sometimes put up a show and take it off after X number of days. Some stations like ABC send you to their site to watch some of their shows. You can search all your favorite and your children's favorites to see if they are available.
We like Hulu and use it alot but it doesn't I think it could not replace our cable, to many of our favorites would not be able to be watched if we did that. Many of our ours are not.Last edited by imagine; 08-10-2009 at 09:20 AM.

Yeah, it's CRTC...and the cable companies wanting to make money. If we can see it on-line, we won't buy their cable...which I refuse to pay for anyway! Too bad, some of the shows look really good on Hulu.

I just started using Hulu last night. The verizon guy (finally fixed the network) had never heard of it so I told him about it. I was able to watch a show called Dear Genevieve which shows on directv. Not sure if it is TLC or not. I just get basic cable now. I will definately be using Hulu much more often now.
I have a question. Should I sign up for an account. And is it really necessary to have an account.
