Smile I am back on the frugal train!!

Well hello everyone from down under!! its been a long time since i have visited these boards. I went on my trip to USA as some of you may remember after months of not spending and we had a blast. I started nursing school which kept me incredibly busy as was doing masters of nursing, i recently defferred my studies as we found out we are expecting again next april!! this has meant i am now a stay at home mum again, back where i belong, my two oldest are in yr 1 and 2 at school. I need to be super frugal again as husband has acknowledged i wont be going back to work so i need to make his income stretch. My goal is to have no credit card debt we only have about $400 now, we have 11k in savings i need to bump that way up to over 20k as we still need that new car, and i want to start a savings account for the baby like the other girls have as we want them to go to a private high school costs about 4k a year each. all on his 60k wage a yr but i know i can do it. I also would love in 6 years to take all the kids back to disneyland again. so lots of goals and need to get back on being super frugal. any way just wanted to say its wonderful to be back and i am thinking in 2 months of doing another no spend for 3 months including on food challenge.

Thanks guys, feeling very excited to be getting back to basics, its not like we went silly but just now I am home again I have more time to save more money if that makes sense! I picked up some books today for $2 so i will be giving them to my friends children who i buy for christmas for along with some homemade cookies. We had homemade potato and leek soup for dinner tonight which makes a nice change from takeaway (we ate this a lot as i got home from uni at 7pm most nights). Husband was super happy with a homemade meal. I am going to try to go for at least a week before i go to the store for anything including fresh fruit and veges so will have to plan a menu tomorrow!
