    Default Chicken Shopping

I am so excited, our local grocery store is having whole chickens this week for .79lb, guess what I'm stocking up on this week!
My friends that are not frugal, laugh at me for getting so excited about chicken being on sale!

    Have a blessed day!

That's a good price. I just bought a few whole chickens last week. It's amazing how many meals you can get out of one chicken. Great job!

That is about as low as it gets here, as well, although last week, Bel Air had a lot of chicken for .69/lb. The clerk even commented on how much chicken I was buying. About the only cuts not on sale were the breasts and the "party wings."

They also have boneless breast or tenders for $1.69, but we are the chicken capital of the south, and I can get it for $1.00 lb. from our local hatchery, I only do this once in awhile though, I prefer the whole chicken, more meals, plus I like the bones for stock

Great price! We don't see it drop below $1.00/pound very often. I prefer buying whole chickens to cook and then save the stock for soup.

I am egg-cited for you!LOL.Enjoy the savings, and the chicken. I always think roasted chicken smells and tastes so good on these crisp fall days. I am getting hungry thinking about it!Have fun with those sweet deals.

that's the price here too this week but it's 'by the case' avg 30lbs. I don't think I could get one chicken wing in my freezer right now so I have to pass.

I think Aldi's has whole chicken for .79 a pound currently. Hubby was checking that deal out and ended up with chicken wings.
