We went to Ultimate Electronics here in okc (north side) & got there about 1 am(ish). we (my dh & I) were 7th & 8th in line... line finally started really filling up about 3 or 4 am.. 3 different groups came out to offer us coffee &/or a drink (1- hot chocolate, 2- hot coffee & a donut, & 3 - juice & a muffin) ... everyone in line was really friendly, & swapping war stories of years past or from yesterday or today (before they got into our line) also... found a young couple next to us that were living in the same horrible apts that my son & I used to before dh & I got married. Also was able to tell them about the fha loan & some of the banks that we or others we know have had good success getting loans with (as he & wife were good stewards of their $$$$ & just save for everything needed/wanted & didn't have a credit score ~ same as my dh~! so the fha loan was perfect using his credit!!!)...

we scored... an awesome sound system ~ speakers & receivers & some other hook us stuff, as well as a new tv (42" flat screen $700) for my BIL/SIL for just over $1500... which we loaded all up, took tv to BIL & SIL's house & unloaded it over there.. they paid us back & away went to home! Dh & I shared all the responsiblities which was completely awesome not to mention fun. We were quite blessed by having such wonderful people around us!

Ultimate Electronics handed out "voucher coupons" ... going down the line to make sure those 1st in line got 1st dibs & that way you knew whether or not you were getting what you were trying to get rather than a mad dash for everything.... & they only let so many ppl in the store ... so after we had our vouchers we were able to go to restroom & THEN go get what we were after & no crazy stuff going on! IT WAS FABULOUS!! DH & I agree.. next yr if Ultimate Electronics & some other store has the same things that we want... we will go to ULTIMATE ELECTRONICS!!! They've made us loyal! It was such a TRULY WONDERFUL experience! Plus DH & I had a nice time hanging out w/each other!

My dh and I went to an antique shop that had 25% off everything. Got pair of screw back earrings $1,75 and a vintage single blade chopper all stainless steel $3.75..... only buy antiques that I can use. I was thrilled.

ING has a 12mo CD @ 2% today only. I transferred some money out of savings into one of those. It's a crappy rate, but better than anything else I can get easily, and we can afford to lock up the cash for a year.

I thought the retailers where much more organized this year. Most of them handed out vouchers so there was no fighting and nobody had to waste time standing in a line only to get to the front and find out they were all gone.

I had a nice time with my friend, we both got everything we needed and I found the majority of the crowd to be friendly.

~DH got up at 3am to go to Walmart to get a laptop for me. The $200 ones were all claimed by 1am but he was 43/50 for the $300 ones. I'm paying for it with my saved pocket money. He also picked up a couple of cheap video games and two sets of flannel sheets. I wanted one of Target's $3 sandwich makers but they were all gone when DH got there.

I went with my mom to the thrift store. They were having a 50% off sale. I also got a pair of vintage screw back earrings, a 1960's Naturalizer handbag, a fleece pullover and corduroy pants for ds, a book and a great salad spinner for $8.50 total.~

my first early BF shopping experience... I always go but usually about 7-8a and get what I want but this year I got up at 3a and we got there at 4a and I got the ps3 that my son wanted and pjs fpr $3.00 and a track suit for $3.00 and ps2 games for other son for $7.00 each... But the reason I went so early is my friend wanted the laptop so she wanted to be sure and get one but to our dismay we came to find out that all the items that were suppost to be door busters were on sale at midnight....uggghh and the big ticket items the folks that were there at midnight could get in the line and were handed a voucher and got one....what a nightmare... will never do that again.... I will stick to my 8a or go midnight the night before... better for me anyway I am not a morning person.
So all said and done this is the last early BF that I do..... but i did get what I wanted and those items were still there at 8am so I got there early for nothing...

Curious minds want to know ' what and when is Cyber Monday?

Great deals for all of you brave enough to do the BF sales!!
I don't think there was really anything I was going to spend any money on anyway, but love to hear about your fun times and great deals!!
