    Default electric butt warmer

I wonder ... what if a person were to have an electric butt warmer - like the kind for a car. But they had it on their couch or their office chair. And then they turned the house temp down ten degrees.

I suspect that the person would feel plenty warm and comfy while saving heaps of dough.

    Anybody tried this?

Yeah, it's called a car seat warmer or the thing you get to set in your chair in front of the tv that rolls up and down your back that also heats up. Made by Homedic. About $100 new.

Have one in my garage that I thought would be a great fathers day present one year. As I said sitting in the garage collecting dust.

But yes, that would probably work for one person. Agree.

Would this be like this? Only not powered by a cigarette adapter? OR like a heated blankie/heating pad on your recliner?

    Yes!

50 watts - that's barely a blip when compared to other forms of heat.

A butt warmer wouldn't do it for me. I need foot warmers. (Or is it a feet warmer?) If my feet are warm, I'm good to go. If my feet are cold, then it doesn't matter how warm the rest of me is, I'm cold.

Yep, exactly like that only plug into the wall. I paid $100 for Homedic at Walgreens or Walmart for one. The link for $29 is for 2.

However mine heats up like really hot and it does do the roll up your back. Which I don't like. It hurts. Anyway, the ebay thing is great. Mine is more like

For the couch thing tho the electric blanket is a better idea. Lay or sit. Take to bed or couch.

My recliner has heat and I LOVE IT!

I use my recliner and my 'granny blanket' whenever I sit down. Don't think I could drop the temp. too much - try to keep it at
    65. that is plenty cold enough!!!

Sock with batteries of some sort. Probably find them in sporting goods store or catalog. Think they make them for gloves also but not totally sure.

You know those magic bean bag heating packs - you nuke for a min or two and shake the beans around before you place the pack where you need the heat - I saw them at a craft show but they were homemade version, slippers (or what was supposed to resemble slippers?) OR a pot holder (pouch?) with an insert/opening for both feet if that makes sense?

Sorry I'm not that great at describing it but I had to ask the vendor how one would use the funny shaped bean bags and she was so happy to demonstrate.

I'll give her points for creativity! I'd just take the bean bag and toss it ontop of my thermal sock covered feeties!

Just thought of this - make a big square bean bag It would cover both of your feet OR you can place it on the recliner and sit on it to warm your tush

Don't they have something that is a heating mat for a dog? Wouldn't something like that act as a foot warmer?

I was thinking maybe you were saying that there is some type of electric feet warmer. Like an electric foot washer/spa.
I may have to do a google search.

An electric blanket sounds nice and warm. So far the down alternative blanket seems to be working fine. But a heat source on top of a chair or sofa would probably be less bulky. Would probably be fighting with the cat to see who gets to sit on it though. lol
