Default I found the most killer sale tonight.

DH and I have been needing more light in the living room. Our desk lap lost two of its three settings and only luminates on the middle setting, which is not enough for the living room. Therefore, I decided to get us some new lamps. I didn't want to spend a ton for them, though, so I figured I'd wait until I found a good sale.

As I'm walking through Superstore to see where they were keeping their seeds (which they do have out now, btw, for anyone wanting their seeds), I stumbled upon an aisle with lamps. I looked around and wow! I found what we needed!

The lamp was originally marked for $69.99. I got one for...

    $19.34!

I figured I would get two of them since we'd need another one down the road. The lamp came with its own energy-saving CFL lightbulb, which is a plus with us. We made the switch to CFL bulbs a long time ago and we don't regret it.

I thought that while I was in the process of saving on lamps, I'd make use of my Superbucks coupons. I spent $51.85 but with coupons, that went down to $41.49. ( I splurged on some Valentine's Day jujubean hearts, which I always buy at this time of year. ) I also had to get milk and bread.

So yeah, $140 worth of lamps for $39 makes me a happy gal.

I know how happy you are because funny thing, I bought (4) lamps yesterday too....lol! I ventured down to Orlando for an "all girls" shopping spree, and found 2 sets at a great buy too. I was thrilled because I finally found a pair that goes good for a teenage boy's room. The other pair was some "bling" for my dresser. Ever been to Kirkland's? Pure DANGER ZONE.... lol!

You did great!! I bet your lamps are really pretty

www.kirklands.com > Check out the In ~In Stores Only~ link for a pretty good idea of their merchandise. The store has great clearances. If you sign up, which is why I posted the link and hope you do, you'll get monthly coupons, usually $10 off $50. I bought 2 lamps, plus one of those (4ft.) metal scrolls for over my bed, and a cute diamond shaped initial hanging thing. I spent $46 after $10 coupon

That is great you waited for what you wanted to be on sale and now you are rewarded.

    Feels good doesn't it
