Default I am not my things.

Who said "I am not my things." ?? (or something close to that......)

Does anyone know who's quote that was?

I am desperately trying to remember that phrase, as I declutter and clean this cabin.

It's funny how we become 'who we are' (some of us) according to what we own.

Are you thinking of Tyler Durden in Fight Club?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

If the OP wasn't, I am now. Man I love that movie. I wanna go watch it again now.

First and only time I've ever said this: the movie was far better than the book.

I've never seen 'Fight Club', although my sons have seen it many times. Guy flick, I'm thinking. But....that might be one place the phrase has been heard.

Last year my cousin called me in tears. He could barely talk he was laughing so hard. Apparently his little boy had gotten into trouble at school that day.

The teacher had the golden rule proudly displayed in the front of her class room and was working with the children to get them to understand it.

She turned to Gavin who is now 7 and asked him what rule #1 was? "You don't talk about fight club"

At the end of the conversation I was laughing too.

    Oh man that is priceless!
Reminds me of the time my son got in trouble at school (he's almost 4 and goes to Christian School). They asked him to pray for lunch and he said "Lord you are 10 pounds of holy in a 5 pound bag"
