Frugal Quotes, Sayings, Etc.
What are some of your favorite frugal related quotes, sayings, jokes, etc?
I work at a very small company and am in charge of cutting paychecks, and there is a "Company Message" field that I can fill in to write a note on everyones check.
I've already reminded them that "Money doesn't grow on trees", "A penny saved is a penny earned", etc... and I'm running out of ideas!
Any more funny/cute/not too harsh subtle little reminders for me?
Thx

A stitch in time saves nine.... true it isn't money based but if you take care of your things they will last longer.
Save a penny, spend a pound.
No man's credit is ever as good as his money.

From "Ten acres enough"
All that is most valuable can be
had for nothing. They come as presents from the
hand of an indulgent Father, and neither air nor sky,
nor beauty, genius, health, or strength, can be bought
or sold. Whatever may be one's condition in life,
the great art is to learn to be content and happy, in-
dulging in no feverish longings for what we have not,
but satisfied and thankful for what we have.

"Waste not wont not" always comes to mind when I am putting things back in the fridge or freezer. Especially when it is something like a quarter piece of an onion.
