What is your favorite all time family fun?
I would have to say ours is camping. We love it!
What about you?

With our children, and now the granddaughters, camping and hiking are our favorites. Children just seem to thrive in the outdoors. The girls look forward to our camping trips all winter long.

I have to say the zoo...no matter how many times we go Katie and Jackson are just as excited as their first trip! I love hearing Jackson say "wook mommy wook!!". Katie says "Let's see this, let's go here, come on,.." She's ready to move on before you even get to the first stop lol
We've never been camping. Dh would love to go but I'm the one who would prefer not to. I know,I should be ashamed! Maybe next year I'll break down and go.

I really love the nature center, but we have a really good time going for daytrips and taking pictures and packing a lunch.

Camping is our favorite. We camp all summer, including the State Fair because dd shows rabbits there each year.
Also, gardening and garage sales.
In the winter we put puzzles together, go to the Children's mueseum, and this is going to sound weird but we love to go check out other town's libraries and goodwills. We make day trips out of it.

Article: 20 Fun Ideas for National Turn Off TV Week
20 Fun Ideas for National Turn Off TV Week
By Deborah Shelton
National Turn Off Your TV Week is April 21-27 this year.
Why not take the holiday one step further and turn off the
computer as well? Here are 20 fun ways your family can make
the most of this celebration.
1. Read a book.
2. Write a letter-not an email-to a dear friend.
3. Bathe the dog.
4. Play a game of Candyland or Chutes and Ladders.
5. Paint each other's faces.
6. Do cartwheels in the front yard.
7. Camp out in the back yard with a tent, flashlight and
lots of munchies.
8. Host a garage sale.
9. Visit the library for story time.
10. Go on a snail-hunting expedition, then release the
snails in a cool, moist, shady spot.
11. Look through and organize family photos.
12. Start a seasonal family photo scrapbook.
13. Read the Sunday comics together.
14. Make a CD wall mirror with free internet CDs that
arrive in the mail.
15. Bake cookies.
16. Have a living room picnic.
17. Challenge your brother or sister to a staring contest.
18. Play a game of I-Spy.
19. Go for a walk around the block.
20. Make and fly paper airplanes.
However you decide to entertain yourself and your family,
remember the most important thing: No television!

We hardly watch tv. I watch Oprah when I do my biking (if her program is good) and the kids watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
We've gone without a tv in our home and we also turned off our computer for a pioneer week. Both, actually were quite easy to do.
The week we turned off our computer though, I wasn't a member here. I wonder how hard it would be to do now!!
