Question How is your decluttering coming?

Are you in full swing or at a dead stop? With the holidays approaching, we are at a dead stop here. I hope to get back on track in January. I have so many baby things to get rid of. Anyone need an infant car seat? Excellent condition.

The only thing that I need to declutter is my bedroom closet, it is so small I just tossed stuff in there for now but everything else is nice & organized

Just a little while ago I finally decluttered/reorganized our closet

I also decluttered a lot in my dd's room..only it's all in my car still since the goodwill was 'full' and couldn't take anything else when I went last..
BUT her room is no where close to being done..HOW do we get stuck with so much stuff

Well I got rid of the old Christmas ornaments and lights. Last year I splurged on a sale and bought the blue and pearl white and silver tree ornaments and white lights to make a blue and white and silver themed tree.

I had 2 apple boxes FULL of old ornaments I didn't like, and stuff we have had given to us over the years that didn't match, was colours I didn't like etc.

Some of that stuff never even made it on the tree the last few yrs, but I was saving it in case it was important to my two kids now turning 23 and 20 this month.

They went thru it with me, dd kept 3 tiny ornaments that she loves, ds kept nothing and I kept 2 little things one from each kid that they made me.

THE REST BIT THE GREEN WEENIE!!! It has gone on to a better home at the Salvation Army and I"m doing cartwheels in my spirit!!!!!

I LOVE my blue and white tree, it has come to mean a renewed joy in Christmas, I even put it up EARLY this year, and I am enjoying looking at it every day.

It's freedom from the past, and I feel even better liberating 2 apple boxes of space!!!!

YEEEHAW!!!! and a merry Christmas to all! Happy dejunking!!!

I'm happy to report that I have just decluttered a BUNCH of old spices that MIL gave us before we moved in here

I also am tossing out some old plates she had given us, and some old cups as well

in the process I peeled off the old 70's shelf paper and replaced it with the new stuff i've been putting in..

As well as brought a shelf up higher to make more efficient use of the space I have

Next I'll be cleaning out a skinny but very tall space ..I'll store a lot of canned items up there..or something..anything to take advantage of all that space i've been wasting

I have been doing one small project a day. Sometimes just cleaning out a drawer and removing junk from the corner of the room. I even cleaned out dh's side of the bed. I notice that half an hour every day makes a huge difference. I still have a big list that I am working on. :santa:
