Question kids and toys - making good use of toys -play value

Kids need toys but toys laying around in the bottom of toys boxes or left on shelves aren't a good use of dollars spent for those toys.

How do you get the most play for your kids from their toys?

    Is it what you buy?
    How you buy it?
    How you organize?
    What you buy?

How do you get the most play value from your children's toys?

I have been thinking about this alot this week. As the play value of Little Miss's Barbies as more than value.
This happened when we got rid of her Barbie house.

We had the big Bookcase style Barbie house. Grandma had bought it for a birthday present several years ago and we thought it would increase the play value of her Barbies.

Well it started to fall a part after years, so we took it out of her room. Bye bye barbie house. This allowed us to rearrange her room and opened up the middle of her room. New play space.

She has played with her Barbies more in the past few days now that she has the room to spread them out. More other creative play has happened too.

Apparently, she just needed the space to play.

So room to play with the toys would be one way we added play value to the toys.
