Printing Checks...

Has any body had luck with printing their own checks via quicken or another program? Is it worth it (cost wise)?

This will be interesting to watch..........have never known anyone that did. What about the security things........waterspots and etc that is in/on the checks?

My uncle prints his own but I don't know if it's with quicken or what. At one time you could order checks that would go through your printer so they had the water mark and such. I only hear from him at Christmas when he sends a check for the kids though.
