    15,000 pounds a year is less than what i live on. it's enough to keep a modest roof 1 bedrom apartment over her head. but certainly no travel. she has to earn money.
    11% gross to retirement
    10% takehome to tithe and offerings
    emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
    freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

    i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

    Maybe I'm looking at this in the wrong light, but she "lives" in a different world. Appearances must be maintained to some extent. I'm just not sure she could be truly frugal considering who she is & what is expected of her. Could/should she skip invitations to events due to travel expenses or similar income restraints? Maybe.

    I'm all about living below or at least within your means. However, its easier for me to drive around in my beater & skip vacations or trips since no ones reporting it to the BBC.
