Question What grocery item do you absolutely refuse to purchase?

Mine has got to be boxed cereals with lots of sugar.

    You?

I'd have to say the peanut-butter slices, disposable cutting pads. Not sure what else, seems like there's a lot I don't buy.

Plastic wrap--I hate the stuff. PB slices, Lunchables, disposable cutting pads, regular bottled water (that's why I have a Brita), highly sweetened cereals, premade burger patties...can't think of anything else, but I KNOW there's more!

Lunchables, canned vegetables (except for beans and diced tomatoes) we prefer the fresh or frozen vegetables.

I don't buy disposbale cutting pads. I try not to buy convience foods, but sometimes if it is a really good deal, I do. I only get them because we are always on the go and they are easy for us to make.

Canned gravy, yuck. I much prefer making my own gravy.
Stove-top stuffing, I'd rather make my mom's dressing recipe. Hamburger Helper(tuna, chicken, too), dh hates it.

There are a lot of things I refuse to buy some because I personally see them as a waste of money like the 409 wipes
A few things I don't buy are plastic wrap
    disposable cutting boards, hamburger, tuna or chicken helpers, bottled water, BC potatoes, powdered juice mixes, soda {only once in awhile}

Any type of pop. We never drink the stuff.

Oh, and most prepared items. If there are more than 5 ingredients on the label, it doesn't go into the cart.

We never buy the pre formed burger patties, lunchables, the frozen PB&J sandwiches, I know there's more but it's all I can think of right now.

Individual sized drinks/so called juices. We have reusable bottles and juice/tea/water/Kool-Aid at the house already. Fill one up! Vitamin Water is one of the things she's always asking for. $1 for a bottle of very watered down Kool-aid tasting ...stuff, I don't think so.

Lunchables. Seems every time my daughter is with me grocery shopping, she'll ask for a lunchable. Every single time it's always no. You'd think she'd stop asking at some point. We have cheese/cracker/lunch meat at home, build it up!

Slim Jims. Another thing she asks for and everytime it's a big no. I blame the school, they sell things like this and it's where she has had them.

Makes me feel bad at times when she asks for the junk food and I say no. She never asks for anything other than food.

I'm sure there are more but I just can't think of it right now.

Any of the 'wipes', liquid laundry detergent, body wash, many cleaning products..(soda, vinegar, ammonia, and/or bleach will usually do it), canned gravy, 'off brand' ketchup (only Heinz), most canned veggies...few exceptions, individual servings of juice, Cheetos (have MSG), flavored Triscuits (have MSG)...not sure about the 'natural ones'........

Lots more but that comes right to mind.....
