Smile Christmas in July -- Presents for me

Christmas came in July this year. LOL

This is how I got my Christmas wishes in July.

For Christmas I had to wants definilty not needs
I wanted the Duggar's book and the new Amy Grant Album when it came out.

    I received neither for Christmas

I had thought I could use the Wal-mart gift card ( a present) to buy thse for myself but wal-mart didn't have them

I had a J Jill gift card but they don't sell the above wants either

    That was until
I ordered a shirt on clearance from J Jill ( with the gift card)
The oder didn't go through on line so I phoned in to see if they could help. They said I would have to reorder it. So I did. While on the phone the online order went through. So we canceled on teh phone order and they had to refund me the phone order ( they couldn't put it back on the gift card)

I decided right there and then that I will use the refund to buy something for myself. End of sentence.

I was watching the tracking of the shirt that had been successfully ordered. It would go great with the hand me down skirt. I was excited. It arrived in town but didn't get delivered. I called and it had headed back to J Jill. They said they didn't have another one to send me and would have to refund me. I was disappointed as I really anted the shirt. But you go with what you have to. The refund my shipping right away ( since I hadn't sent it back) and will refund the rest when the get the shirt. I get the shipping refund and a few days later I'm surprised by the shirt. I had returned to me.
    Way to go J Jill

Total refunded amounts from J Jill gift card $27.50

So on the trip to the big city. I look for the two wants from Christmas. Find the book at a book store ( last one they had) I used a 20% off coupon Mom gave me for the store.

Then I find the Amy Grant album at Target ( lat one they had)

The total of both purchases $27.50

    Wonderfully strange I know

    Sorry for the typos

The oven called and Hubby came home for lunch ( and it was his turn for the computer) I guess this is what happens when I rush.

    Again sorry.

Here is a edited version if you want to read it without all the typos.

It totally amazes me how things work out.
    And this ended up great.

I was able to buy the shirt I wanted ( shipping ended up being free due to their mistake) By the way it looks very nice with the hand me down skirt. I feel so dressed up.

And I was able to get the original Christmas present desires with the refund From the Gift card. So I got my Christmas present desires I just had to be patient and wait 6 months.

Yes, it worked out very nice for me

Can you tell I'm amazed at how this worked out?

I know (As I nod my head in agreement)

With the gift card I received for Christmas

    I bought on clearance
a very comfy pretty skirt (looks nice but feels like I'm in a night gown, so very comfy)
a sleeveless shirt ( very elegant and versatile)
    a ruffle shirt
Plus the things I bought with the refund LOL

and I still have some on my gift card.
