Question When decluttering, where do you discarded items go?

First, I see if there is anyone I know that could use the item and then I send the rest to goodwill. Anything that is unusable, I throw out.

    Where do your articles go?

I do the same. I pass on anything I think a friend could use. The rest goes to the thrift stores.

Me too! I give everything useable to someone who can use it and then I donate the rest to Goodwill. If it is junk, I throw it out. Sometimes the garbage man keeps the broken items.

I have donated things that can still be used, given a lot of things to my oldest DD & either recyle the rest or tossed it.

I see if someone I know can use them, then there is a drop-site for abused women's shelter by our church and I try to give as much to them as I can.

I give away what I can to family, then the rest goes to DAV or the trash. I know the trash man just loves it after we've been on a cleaning frenzy. Sometimes, I can't believe how much junk we have!

I toss what cannot be used, recyle what we can, give away what I know someone will use and then we have a place i am stacking for a yard sale this spring.
As I had to give up my daycare bussiness, I have hundreds of little tykes etc.. and am having a BLOW out sale. I am anxious to see what i recoup. I LOVE TOYS. lol

I give to family, friends, Women's Shelter, Goodwill, then trash -- in that order. I am really looking forward to the new year-- I am starting it off by doing some major decluttering!

We give to goodwill but I throw a lot away too. We had a house fire in 2001 and it made me realize that some things that I was holding onto were very unecessary. Now I just pitch and don't think much about it. If it is cluttering it is out of here. Amy

Salvation Army or battered wives shelter, but I've not found that shelter in this city so for the last few years, Sally Ann wins.

At this point, when I declutter it's going straight to trash. There is just nothing that anyone else could possibly want anymore. Most everything is so worn it should just be tossed.

If I know someone that can use it, I'll pass it on. Otherwise, if it's in like new condition, I'll try to auction it off on Ebay (haven't done much of this lately), and then it goes to Goodwill.
