My mistake = TOTALLY Unfrugal
So I went grocery shopping last night and one of the items on my list was chicken breasts. I bought the store brand which are significantly cheaper than Tyson. Anyway, DS was acting up and I was so focused on getting him home and into the house that I completely forgot that I'd shoved the bag containing the chicken breasts under his stroller in the back end of our SUV. So this evening, before our walk, I opened the hatch and found that my $9.60 family pack of chicken breasts had been left there all night and all day today.
UGH! Of course I wasn't going to eat them, so there went almost $10, right into the trash.

Sorry to hear that.
I've done stuff like that too, especially forgetting stuff in the fridge and letting it go bad and then throwing it out. Bums me out, but it is definitely a lesson learned for next time.

Costly mistake - mahalo for sharing. Although it could have been worse, it still hurts.

We are famous for cooking, putting it in the microwave to cool and not tempt the dogs. Then we leave it overnight or more. Everyone does it.Just hurts.

~Bummer! I think most of us have done that a time or two. My worst mistake was leaving out two pork loin roasts overnight after a shopping trip. I don't know how I missed that bag but there went $30. Lesson learned and I've never done it again!~

Count me in among the many. Guilty of putting in the back fridge to divide and freezer bag "later" and forgetting.
We also used to have a small chest freezer in the garage. One time I was out there rearranging and I had stuck a few things of frozen chicken and such on top of something to put back in when I was done. Somehow it slid down behind the whatever I had it stacked on. Forgot it was even there. Several days later it started stinking. What a mess.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Yep, I've done it too. Just recently I left a big pack of pork chops in the car overnight, and just yesterday I dropped a glass casserole dish with a 3 pound meatloaf on the garage floor. Because I was trying to make my trip shorter by balancing two dishes at once. Costly error.
Sorry that happened to you.~~~

I do this quite often with food in the fridge, and left overs, and there have been a few times DH and I left a grocery bag with cold food in the car by mistake. Its very costly and I know it sucks!!!

I do something similar but different. I leave food at the store. I always use self checkout and I'm constantly leaving Milk, juice or bulky items on top of the register. lol. OR leaving my purse in the cart. Did that a few times, thank god for good samaritans cause I always got my purse back.

I haven't done that with meat, but I did forget a gallon of milk in my locked up truck for a few days in the middle of summer. Not good.
