I am super picky about my hair since I am on stage frequently and have one of those Flowbees and love it. You don't have to worry about the Flowbee having PMS, men troubles or a hangover. I even let the kids cut my hair with it which is more trust than I can I have for most "professional" shops out there. I've been to cheap shops and expensive shops and have only found 2 people in my 45 years who can do a good job cutting thick, curly hair -- one was not even at a beauty shop but a men's barber shop. People constantly stop me and ask me who my stylist is. LOL! I recently had to buy a new Flowbee (after many years of hard use) and did so gladly. I even bought their vac this time and we keep it set up in our bathroom closet for quick touch ups before special events. That is what I'm going to do as soon as I'm off of here. I have a dr's appt and a party then I'm on stage all next week -- gotta have it perfect!

They still make flowbees? Every once in a while I will have a customer mention they have one...I remember the infomercials in the early 90's for them...but didn't know you could buy them still.

I cat DH's hair with clippers, he is happy and our bank balance is happy to.

I couldn't bring myself to cut mine it is straight as a dice and so I worry that any mistake I made would be easily seen, my sister has curly hair and she hasn't gone to the hairdresser for years, she cuts it herself and says that as it is so curly no one would ever notice if she did make a mistake.

You could always try it once and then learn your lesson and never do it again if it was a disaster?

I'm seriously considering CreaClip Quick and Easy haircuts at home, Save money cutting Layers in your own hair, trimming bangs, and kids hair at home.

My DIL has been cutting our hair, part of a bartering deal. however, I feel like we've exceeded our limit without more bartering. She's such a sweetheart she'd continue to cut our hair for no charge, but I refuse to take advantage of her generous nature.

My hair has gotten rather long, and is is serious need of a cut. Just thinking that this might not be so bad. I used to go to the votech to get my hair cut but even that's out of my budget at this point. If this works I'll be saving myself a bundle over the years.
