How low can you go?
When it comes to making a meal?
I've been able to make quite a few meals at $0 and I'm loving it. When I put deer meat or fish caught this summer along with our veggies and potatoes from our garden, the cost is $0.
I'm getting better at getting lower meals also when it comes to groceries I have to purchase. Being in Canada, I can make a meal for approx. $1.50 when I make a rice dish or pasta dish especially considering that I can get most of that on sale.

I know we've had a lot of free dinners thanks to coupons (ortega frozen dinners being my favorite free dinner) carl gets free fishsticks a lot..I've also got a bunch of free oatmeal, chili, and soup also.
Other than that I can make grilled cheese really cheep, rice and vegetable stew, cornbread etc..but we aren't much of a dinner together family, we just eat as we go so I don't pay much attention to cost per meal. i just make sure my grocery bill stays low

$2-2.50
We have a lot of pasta dishes, and I like to see how low I can make meals. Sometimes seeing that you can do meals for little keeps you going when times get frustrating.
